AI-suggested
Since the vulnerability arises from missing CSRF protections and lack of request origin validation, mitigation involves implementing anti-CSRF tokens on the user deletion endpoint and enforcing strict authentication and authorization checks. Until a patch is available, administrators should avoid visiting untrusted web pages while authenticated and consider additional protective measures such as web application firewalls that can detect CSRF attempts.
Description
A Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in SourceCodester Client Database Management System 1.0 allows an attacker to trick an authenticated administrative user into unintentionally deleting user accounts. The vulnerability exists because the user deletion endpoint does not enforce anti-CSRF tokens or verify request origin, enabling remote attackers to craft malicious requests that execute with the admin's privileges.
