Users should monitor the Open5GS project for updates or advisories. In the meantime, consider restricting access to the affected endpoint to trusted sources and implement network-level protections to mitigate remote exploitation risk.
Description
A denial of service vulnerability exists in Open5GS up to version 2.7.7 in the AMF SBI Endpoint component. The flaw is triggered by manipulation of the argument changeItem.newValue in the amf_namf_callback_handle_sdm_data_change_notify function. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely.
