Red Hat has released an updated build of Keycloak (version 26.6.8) that addresses multiple security issues, including this vulnerability. Users should upgrade to Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.6.8 or later to remediate this flaw. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch.
Description
A vulnerability in the group policy provider of Keycloak authorization services allows improper evaluation of group-based policies when tokens contain only group names without full paths. This can cause users belonging to unauthorized groups with the same name as authorized groups to gain access to protected resources. The flaw affects fine-grained access control mechanisms in Keycloak.
