Description

How to turn off unwanted AI systems like Copilot, Gemini, and Apple Intelligence on corporate devices

Impact

The impact is primarily operational and privacy-related rather than a direct security compromise. Organizations may face risks from unwanted AI data processing or exposure if these AI features are enabled without control. Disabling or restricting these AI services can prevent unintended data sharing or reduce attack surface related to AI integrations. There are no known exploits in the wild associated with these AI features as per the provided information.

Defensive guidance

Follow the detailed vendor-specific policy configurations to disable or restrict AI features in Microsoft 365, Windows, Edge, Google Workspace, Google Chrome, and Apple devices as outlined by Kaspersky. Use network-level domain blocking cautiously, considering vendor advisories that some blocks may disrupt other platform functionalities. Since this is a configuration and management guide rather than a vulnerability with a patch, remediation involves applying these administrative controls. Patch status is not applicable here.
