Technical Analysis

This vulnerability (CVE-2026-10136) is a heap-based buffer overflow in the formUpload() function of the TOTOLINK X2000R device firmware version TOTOLINK-X2000R-Gh-V1.0.0-B20250421.1327. Exploitation requires an authenticated HTTP request and can result in arbitrary code execution. The CVSS v3.1 score is 9.1, indicating critical severity with network attack vector, low attack complexity, high privileges required, no user interaction, and complete confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected device, potentially leading to full compromise of the system. This can result in complete loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the device.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is currently available. Users should monitor vendor advisories for updates. Until a fix is released, restrict authenticated access to the device's HTTP interface to trusted users only and consider additional network-level protections to limit exposure.
