Until a fix is provided, network segmentation and limiting access to the device from untrusted hosts may reduce risk.

Description

A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in TP-Link Tapo C520WS version 2.6 due to improper boundary validation in HTTP POST body parsing. This flaw allows an attacker on the same network segment to cause heap memory corruption by sending crafted payloads. Successful exploitation results in a denial-of-service condition, crashing or freezing the device's process.
