Description

CVE-2026-33846 is a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the DTLS handshake fragment reassembly logic of GnuTLS used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. The flaw occurs because the merge_handshake_packet() function merges fragments based only on handshake type without validating consistent message_length fields across fragments. This allows an attacker to send crafted DTLS fragments with conflicting lengths, causing out-of-bounds heap writes.
