What to do

AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, avoid processing untrusted .tga files with the affected library version. Employ file validation or sandboxing techniques to limit exposure.

Description

A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the PCX Image Decoding functionality of the SAIL Image Decoding Library version 0.9.8. This flaw can be triggered by decoding a specially crafted .tga file, potentially allowing remote code execution if an attacker convinces the library to read such a file.
