Reddit Discussion
Over the past 4 months we made a fun, fast paced, cyber security game that teaches network intrusion methodology and concepts in a perfectly gamified way.
I wanted to share what I’ve been working on non stop outside of my regular security work.
As a cyber security professional with 10+ years experience and numerous pentesting and forensic certifications, I’ve always wanted to take my mental model of how network intrusions work, the MITRE ATT&CK for enterprise concepts, and my love for games that have addicting, repeatable, and challenging gameplay loops.
Well, to that end, I give you:
Project RedTeam: Contract Offensive
I am beyond excited to be releasing the free playable demo to the world (by next week at the latest!).
I cannot believe that the handful of people I’ve shared the full game with already (mostly non-security/cyber) are each pulling 15+ in game hours within a few days. The game is “super fun” and the concept isn’t like anything they’ve played. I’ve also been playing it non stop because I want to beat some of the campaigns which are genuinely challenging. I actually wish I had more time to play it myself!!
I’m looking forward to this being something that can inspire people to learn more about network intrusion and cyber security :)
