Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-16606 is a critical unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability affecting Fujitsu Software Linux openFT and Oracle Solaris openFT before version 12.1D00. The vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary code remotely without authentication on affected systems. The vulnerability is internally tracked by Fsas Technologies PSIRT under an agreement with Fujitsu Germany. No official patch or fix information is available at this time. The CVSS 4.0 vector indicates network attack vector, low attack complexity, no privileges or user interaction required, with high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on affected systems, potentially leading to full system compromise. This impacts confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected systems running vulnerable versions of Fujitsu Software openFT on Linux or Oracle Solaris.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. No official fix or patch information is currently available. Until a patch is released, restrict network access to the vulnerable service where possible to reduce exposure.
