Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AMD display driver allows an out-of-bounds write during HDMI HDCP 2.x repeater authentication. The driver reads a message size from the sink's RxStatus register and uses it to determine the length of a read operation without properly clamping it to the buffer size. This can lead to memory corruption if a malicious HDMI repeater advertises an oversized message. The issue is fixed by clamping the read length to the buffer size in the affected function.
