Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's kexec purgatory code was identified where the code attempts to access a return address above the top of its stack even in non-kjump kexec paths. This can lead to a fault causing a crash. The issue arises because the return address is not pushed onto the stack in the non-kjump path, unlike the kjump path. The vulnerability has been resolved by ensuring the return address is pushed in the non-kjump path to prevent purgatory from crashing.
