Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Multipath TCP (MPTCP) implementation involves incorrect accounting for out-of-order (OoO) packets in the mptcp_rcvbuf_grow() function. This flaw can cause the receive buffer size to drift incorrectly and may trigger a divide-by-zero kernel crash (Oops) under very unlikely race conditions when user-space holds the MPTCP socket lock. The issue does not affect confidentiality or integrity but impacts availability due to potential kernel crashes.
