Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-90601 describes an authentication bypass vulnerability in getzep graphiti versions prior to 0.30.3. The flaw exists in the REST API component, specifically in an unspecified function within server/graph_service/main.py, leading to improper authentication. The vulnerability is remotely exploitable without privileges or user interaction. A pull request containing a fix is available but has not yet been merged.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to bypass authentication controls, potentially leading to unauthorized access with limited confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts as indicated by the CVSS vector (C:L/I:L/A:L). No known exploits are reported in the wild.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in a pull request awaiting acceptance. Users should monitor the project's repository for the merge of this fix and apply the update to version 0.30.3 or later once released. Until then, no official patch is available, so caution is advised when exposing the REST API.
