What to do
AI-suggested
Users should consider restricting network access to the affected ports (12304 and 12306) to trusted hosts only and use network-level encryption such as VPNs or secure tunnels to protect the traffic. Monitor vendor advisories for any future updates or patches addressing this issue.
Description
WorkExaminer Professional transmits all traffic between monitoring clients, console, and server in plaintext, including data sent via unencrypted FTP on port 12304 and unencrypted console-server communication on port 12306. This exposure allows attackers with network access to read sensitive data and modify it in transit.
