AI-suggested

A fixed version 2.7.0 or later of the Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. bc-csharp library addresses this issue. Until then, avoid processing untrusted PKCS#12 files or implement input validation to limit iteration counts.

Description

A vulnerability in the Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. bc-csharp library before version 2.7.0 allows an attacker to cause a denial of service by supplying a specially crafted PKCS#12 (PFX) file with an extremely high iteration count. This leads to excessive CPU consumption during key derivation before authentication checks occur.
