Since the vulnerability requires physical access, restricting physical access to devices is a recommended interim measure. Monitor vendor advisories for updates and patches addressing this vulnerability.
Description
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the framework service of Alpine iLX-F511 devices. This flaw allows physically present attackers to execute arbitrary code with root privileges without requiring authentication. The vulnerability arises from improper validation of user-supplied data length before copying it to a fixed-length stack buffer.
