AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, monitor for suspicious StartupMessage traffic and consider implementing network-level protections to restrict unauthenticated access to PgBouncer.

Description

PgBouncer versions 1.20.0 through 1.26.0 contain an infinite loop vulnerability triggered by a crafted StartupMessage with an empty parameter name. This causes the server process to become unresponsive, resulting in denial of service until restarted.
