AI-suggested

No explicit patch or official fix is indicated in the provided data. Users should upgrade beyond version 3.10.0 if a fully sanitized output mode is available or apply any vendor-provided patches once available. Until then, avoid processing filenames with untrusted control bytes or use output modes that sanitize filenames. Monitor vendor advisories for updates on remediation.

Description

App::Ack for Perl versions through 3.10.0 print unsanitized terminal escape sequences from filenames in several output modes. This can cause terminal output to be overwritten or recolored unexpectedly when filenames contain control bytes such as ANSI escape sequences. Version 3.10.0 introduced partial sanitization in some output modes, but others still output raw filenames.
