Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-78365 is an authorization bypass vulnerability in Roskus Prospero Flow CRM affecting versions 4.0.0 through 5.3.1. The issue arises because the supplier API does not properly enforce authorization checks on the company_id field in the PUT request to /api/supplier/{id}. As a result, any authenticated user can access and modify supplier records of other companies and reassign them to their own company. This vulnerability is classified under CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key).

Potential Impact

An attacker with valid authentication credentials can read and modify supplier records belonging to other companies and reassign those records to their own company. This could lead to unauthorized data disclosure, data tampering, and potential business process disruption. The vulnerability is rated critical due to the high impact on confidentiality and integrity of supplier data.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix is currently available for this vulnerability. Users should monitor the vendor's advisory for updates and apply any forthcoming patches promptly. Until a fix is released, restrict access to the supplier API to trusted users only and consider implementing additional access controls or monitoring to detect unauthorized modifications.
