Users should monitor vendor advisories for updates. Until a fix is available, disabling HTTP/2 support (i.e., not building with USE_HTTP2 or disabling enable_http2) can mitigate the vulnerability by avoiding the vulnerable code path.
Description
CivetWeb versions up to 1.16, when built with HTTP/2 support enabled, contain a use-after-free vulnerability in the HTTP/2 request handling function. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to manipulate HTTP/2 HEADERS frames to influence the request method or path used by access control rules or cause a server crash.
