What to do

AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, cautious use of the affected Bluetooth functionality is advised.

Description

A race condition vulnerability exists in the Linux kernel 6.2 Bluetooth driver (hci_ldisc.c) in the hci_uart_tty_ioctl function. The issue arises because HCI_UART_PROTO_SET is assigned before the hu->proto pointer is set, which can lead to a NULL pointer dereference.
