Since the vulnerability requires high privileges, restricting access to trusted administrators and validating input fields manually or via custom rules may reduce risk. Monitor vendor advisories for official fixes.
Description
CVE-2024-22122 is a command injection vulnerability in Zabbix Server's SMS notification feature. The flaw arises because the 'Number' field used for SMS configuration is not validated on either the web interface or server side. This allows an attacker with appropriate privileges to inject additional AT commands into the modem by supplying a specially crafted phone number during an SMS test.
