What to do

AI-suggested

Organizations should immediately verify the version of ClickUp Desktop in use and upgrade to version 3.3.77 or later once officially released. If you cannot patch yet, restrict network access to ClickUp Desktop clients and monitor for unusual behavior indicative of code injection attempts. Employ application whitelisting and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions to detect and block suspicious processes spawned by ClickUp. Review and harden Electron Fuse configurations if possible, and disable or restrict the use of settings like RunAsNode that facilitate code injection. Conduct thorough audits of user privileges to minimize the risk of exploitation by low-privilege attackers. Additionally, maintain up-to-date backups and incident response plans to mitigate potential damage from exploitation.

Description

ClickUp Desktop before 3.3.77 on macOS and Windows allows code injection because of specific Electron Fuses. There is inadequate protection against code injection through settings such as RunAsNode.
