AI-suggested

To mitigate CVE-2024-24017, organizations should immediately implement the following specific measures: 1) Apply input validation and sanitization on the offset, limit, and sort parameters to ensure only expected data types and value ranges are accepted. 2) Refactor the affected SQL queries to use parameterized queries or prepared statements, eliminating direct concatenation of user inputs into SQL commands. 3) Restrict access to the /common/dict/list endpoint through network controls such as firewalls or VPNs, limiting exposure to trusted users or internal networks. 4) Enable detailed logging and monitoring of database queries and web requests to detect anomalous patterns indicative of injection attempts. 5) Conduct code reviews and security testing focused on injection vulnerabilities across the application. 6) Stay alert for official patches or updates from Novel-Plus developers and apply them promptly once available. 7) Consider deploying Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) with rules tailored to detect and block SQL injection payloads targeting the affected parameters. 8) Educate development teams on secure coding practices to prevent recurrence of similar vulnerabilities. These targeted actions go beyond generic advice by focusing on the specific parameters and endpoint involved in this vulnerability.

Description
