A patch is available for this vulnerability. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include the fix ensuring the offloading TID queue exists at suspend time. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the patch.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's iwlwifi driver (CVE-2024-27056) was resolved. The issue occurs because the resume code path assumes the transmit (TX) queue for the offloading TID exists, but if no packets have been sent on TID 0, the queue is not allocated, causing a crash during resume. The fix ensures the queue exists at suspend time to prevent this crash.
