What to do

AI-suggested

To mitigate CVE-2024-27719, organizations should implement strict input validation and output encoding for all user-supplied data, particularly in the Frequently Asked Question field of the Add FAQ function. Employ context-aware encoding (e.g., HTML entity encoding) to neutralize potentially malicious scripts before rendering content in browsers. Use Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to restrict the execution of unauthorized scripts and reduce the impact of any successful XSS attempts. Regularly update and patch the rems FAQ Management System once official fixes are released. In the meantime, consider disabling or restricting the Add FAQ functionality to trusted users only or implementing web application firewalls (WAFs) with rules to detect and block XSS payloads targeting this endpoint. Conduct security awareness training to educate users about the risks of clicking suspicious links or interacting with untrusted content. Perform regular security testing, including automated scanning and manual code reviews, to identify and remediate similar vulnerabilities proactively.

Description
