AI-suggested
To mitigate CVE-2024-31652, organizations should implement strict input validation and output encoding on the Search parameter to neutralize malicious scripts. Employing a Content Security Policy (CSP) can help restrict the execution of unauthorized scripts. Web application firewalls (WAFs) configured to detect and block XSS payloads can provide an additional layer of defense. Since no official patches are available, temporary measures such as disabling or restricting the Search functionality until a fix is released may be necessary. Educating users about the risks of clicking on suspicious links and implementing multi-factor authentication can reduce the impact of potential session hijacking. Regular security audits and penetration testing focused on input handling should be conducted to identify similar vulnerabilities. Monitoring web traffic for unusual patterns or repeated injection attempts can help detect exploitation attempts early.
Description
