What to do
AI-suggested
If you cannot patch yet, organizations should implement the following mitigations: 1) Restrict network access to the Inducer Relate service using firewalls and network segmentation to limit exposure to trusted sources only. 2) Monitor network traffic and logs for unusual or suspicious activity related to the Page Sandbox feature. 3) Employ application-layer firewalls or intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) with updated signatures to detect attempts to exploit this vulnerability. 4) Conduct thorough privilege audits and minimize privileges for users and services interacting with Inducer Relate to reduce the impact of potential exploitation. 5) Prepare for rapid deployment of patches once available by maintaining an up-to-date asset inventory and patch management process. 6) Engage with the vendor for timely updates and guidance. 7) Consider temporary disabling or restricting the Page Sandbox feature if feasible without impacting critical operations.
Description
An issue in inducer relate before v.2024.1 allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via a crafted payload to the Page Sandbox feature.
