What to do
AI-suggested
- Immediately restrict remote management access to the LB-LINK BL-W1210M router by disabling WAN-side administration or limiting it to trusted IP addresses.
- Enforce strong password policies manually by setting complex passwords until a vendor patch is available.
- Monitor router logs and network traffic for signs of brute-force attempts or unauthorized access.
- Segment the network to isolate the router management interface from general user access.
- Regularly check for firmware updates from LB-LINK and apply patches promptly once released.
- Consider replacing affected routers with models from vendors with stronger security track records if patches are delayed.
- Educate users and administrators about the risks of weak passwords and the importance of secure configuration.
- Employ network intrusion detection systems to alert on suspicious activities targeting router management interfaces.
