What to do
AI-suggested
- Immediately review and sanitize all inputs to the /music/ajax.php?action=find_music endpoint, especially the 'search' parameter, using strict whitelisting or escaping techniques.
- Implement parameterized queries or prepared statements in the backend database interactions to prevent injection attacks.
- Conduct a thorough code audit of the entire application to identify and remediate similar injection flaws.
- Restrict user privileges to the minimum necessary, limiting access to sensitive functions and data.
- Enable web application firewalls (WAF) with rules targeting SQL injection patterns to provide an additional layer of defense.
- Monitor application logs for unusual query patterns or repeated failed attempts that may indicate exploitation attempts.
- Educate developers on secure coding practices to prevent future injection vulnerabilities.
- If possible, isolate the affected system from critical networks until remediation is complete.
- Stay alert for any published patches or updates from the vendor and apply them promptly once available.
