What to do

AI-suggested

To mitigate this vulnerability, organizations should immediately implement strict input validation and sanitization on the 'pid' parameter and any other user-supplied inputs. Employing parameterized queries or prepared statements in the application code will prevent SQL injection attacks effectively. If modifying the source code is not immediately feasible, deploying a Web Application Firewall (WAF) with rules to detect and block SQL injection patterns targeting the vulnerable endpoint can provide temporary protection. Monitoring database logs for suspicious queries and unusual activity is also recommended. Organizations should engage with the vendor or development team to obtain or request a security patch. Regular security assessments and code reviews focusing on injection flaws should be conducted to prevent similar vulnerabilities.
