AI-suggested

Given the absence of official patches, European organizations should implement the following specific mitigations: 1) Restrict network access to the /includes/save_file.php endpoint by using web application firewalls (WAFs) or network segmentation to limit exposure to trusted IPs only. 2) Employ strict input validation and sanitization at the web server or application gateway level to block path traversal patterns such as '../' sequences in the 'path' parameter. 3) Monitor web server logs and application logs for unusual file creation activities or requests containing suspicious parameters indicative of exploitation attempts. 4) Deploy intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) with signatures targeting path traversal and webshell upload attempts. 5) Conduct a thorough audit of existing AllSky deployments to identify and isolate vulnerable instances, especially those exposed to public networks. 6) Prepare incident response plans to quickly contain and remediate any detected exploitation. 7) Engage with AllSky vendors or community to track patch releases and apply updates promptly once available. 8) Consider temporary disabling or restricting the vulnerable functionality if feasible without disrupting critical operations.

Description

A Path Traversal vulnerability in AllSky v2023.05.01 through v2024.12.06_06 allows an unauthenticated attacker to create a webshell and remote code execution via the path, content parameter to /includes/save_file.php.
