Description
CVE-2024-45007 is a medium severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's xillybus character driver. It involves an unsafe operation where a workqueue may be destroyed from within a work item running on that same workqueue, which is illegal and can cause system instability. The issue is addressed by introducing a module-global workqueue dedicated to the problematic work item, preventing destruction of its own workqueue while maintaining performance for other work items.
