What to do

AI-suggested

A fix for this issue has been implemented in the Linux kernel. Users should update to the fixed kernel version once available. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official patch.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's btrfs filesystem code caused a kernel BUG_ON when an ENOMEM (out of memory) error occurred in btrfs_lookup_extent_info() during walk_down_proc(). This issue has been fixed by properly handling the ENOMEM error without triggering a fatal kernel bug.
