Description
CVE-2024-47540 is a high-severity vulnerability in GStreamer, a media-handling library. It involves an uninitialized stack variable in the gst_matroska_demux_add_wvpk_header function. When a certain size condition is met, an uninitialized variable is used in a buffer unmap operation, leading to a function pointer hijack. This flaw could allow an attacker to hijack execution flow and potentially execute arbitrary code. The issue is fixed in GStreamer version 1.24.10.
