What to do
AI-suggested
- Implement strict input validation and output encoding on the Camp Details module to neutralize malicious scripts.
- Employ Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to restrict the execution of unauthorized scripts in browsers.
- Educate users to avoid clicking on suspicious or unsolicited links, especially those targeting the eSoft Planner interface.
- Monitor web application logs for unusual input patterns or repeated attempts to inject scripts.
- Use web application firewalls (WAFs) configured to detect and block reflected XSS payloads targeting known vulnerable endpoints.
- Segregate user roles and minimize privileges to reduce the impact of compromised accounts.
- Regularly check for and apply vendor patches or updates once available.
- Consider implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) to mitigate session hijacking risks.
- Conduct security assessments and penetration testing focused on XSS vulnerabilities in the affected module.
