Description
CVE-2024-49855 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Network Block Device (nbd) subsystem. It involves a race condition between handling request timeouts and normal request completion, which can lead to use-after-free errors. The flaw occurs when a timed-out request is requeued without properly stopping the normal completion path, potentially causing memory corruption.
