What to do

AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, avoid unloading and reloading the affected Bluetooth module to prevent triggering the kernel BUG.

Description

CVE-2024-50078 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel Bluetooth module where the iso_exit() function is not called upon module unload if iso_init() was previously called. This omission causes the struct proto registered by iso_init() to become invalid, potentially leading to kernel list corruption and a BUG() crash when the module is reloaded. The issue manifests as a kernel BUG related to list_add corruption, causing system instability.
