What to do

AI-suggested

The vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel. Since no explicit patch or fixed version details are provided, users should apply the latest Linux kernel updates for LoongArch architecture once available. Monitor vendor advisories for official patch releases. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.

Description

CVE-2024-50133 is a medium severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel on LoongArch architecture. It occurs because the stack_top() function dereferences a NULL vDSO pointer for tasks that do not have a vDSO mapped, such as kernel threads (kthreads). This results in a kernel crash (denial of service). The issue has been resolved in the Linux kernel. No affected versions or patch details are explicitly stated in the provided data.
