What to do

AI-suggested

A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel by adding a null terminator to the id_table array. Users should apply the official kernel updates that include this fix once available. Since no vendor advisory or patch links are provided, users should monitor official Linux kernel release notes for the patch.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's vp_vdpa component involved an id_table array that was not properly null-terminated. This flaw could cause the function vdpa_mgmtdev_get_classes() to iterate beyond the intended bounds and access undefined memory. The issue has been fixed by allocating an extra virtio_device_id as a null terminator.
