What to do

AI-suggested

To mitigate CVE-2024-54790, organizations should immediately implement strict input validation and sanitization for the 'visittime' parameter and any other user-supplied inputs. Employ parameterized queries or prepared statements to prevent SQL injection attacks. Restrict database user permissions to the minimum necessary to limit the impact of potential exploitation. Monitor web server and database logs for suspicious activities related to the 'visittime' parameter or unusual SQL queries. If possible, deploy web application firewalls (WAFs) with rules targeting SQL injection patterns specific to this vulnerability. Regularly back up enrollment data and test restoration procedures to minimize data loss risks. Educate staff about phishing and social engineering tactics that might be used to trigger user interaction required for exploitation.

Description
