What to do

AI-suggested

A fix has been implemented by adding a NULL pointer check in the grgpio_probe function. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix once available.

Description

CVE-2024-56634 is a medium severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's gpio grgpio driver. The issue arises because the function grgpio_probe does not check for a NULL pointer return from devm_kasprintf(), which can fail. This can lead to a kernel NULL pointer dereference error causing a denial of service. The vulnerability has been resolved by adding a NULL check in grgpio_probe.
