AI-suggested
A patch is available and should be applied promptly. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu (USN-7379-1) confirms that this vulnerability is fixed in updated linux-hwe-edge kernel packages. Users should upgrade to the fixed kernel versions as indicated by the vendor. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official update.
Description
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's RDMA/siw subsystem was resolved by removing a direct link to net_device and relying on the associated ib_devices net_device management. The flaw caused a 'KASAN: slab-use-after-free' exception during the siw_query_port() call. This vulnerability affects multiple versions of the linux-hwe-edge kernel and has been fixed in updated releases.
