Upgrade SurrealDB to version 1.2.1 or later where this vulnerability is fixed. Since the vulnerability is patched in 1.2.1, applying this official fix will remediate the issue.
Description
SurrealDB versions before 1.2.1 have a vulnerability where malformed queries containing errors on line terminator characters cause an uncaught exception in the span rendering code. This triggers a server panic and crash, resulting in denial of service. The issue affects authorized clients who can submit such malformed queries.
