Published: Fri Feb 07 2025 (02/07/2025, 15:21:05 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: WP All Import
Product: WP All Export Pro

Description

The WP ALL Export Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 1.9.1 via the custom export fields. This is due to the missing input validation and sanitization of user-supplied data. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary PHP code into form fields that get executed on the server during the export, potentially leading to a complete site compromise. As a prerequisite, the custom export field should include fields containing user-supplied data.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2024-7419 is a remote code execution vulnerability in WP All Export Pro for WordPress, present in all versions up to and including 1.9.1. The flaw arises from missing input validation and sanitization of user-supplied data in custom export fields, enabling unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary PHP code. This code executes on the server during export processes, potentially allowing complete compromise of the affected WordPress site. The CVSS 3.1 base score is 8.3, reflecting network attack vector, high complexity, no privileges required, user interaction required, scope changed, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation can lead to remote code execution on the server hosting the WordPress site, resulting in potential full site compromise including unauthorized data access, modification, and service disruption. The vulnerability affects confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected system.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is released, restrict access to the export functionality and avoid using custom export fields that include user-supplied data. Monitor vendor channels for updates and apply patches promptly once available.
