Description
CVE-2024-8612 is a vulnerability in QEMU's virtio-scsi, virtio-blk, and virtio-crypto devices where the size parameter used in virtqueue_push may exceed the actual data size sent to the guest. This can cause uninitialized data in the bounce buffer to be written back, leading to an information leak. The vulnerability has a low CVSS score of 3.8 and does not require user interaction for exploitation.
