Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: TP-Link Systems Inc.
Product: Omada Gateways

Description

A race condition exists in the cloud-based Omada device adoption process when an attacker may be able to interact with the adoption workflow before a legitimate device completes registration, resulting in provisioning information being delivered to an attacker. Successful exploitation may allow disclosure of provisioning information intended for a legitimate device.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2025-15630 describes a race condition in the Omada Gateways' cloud-based device adoption process by TP-Link Systems Inc. This concurrency issue allows an attacker to interfere with the adoption workflow before a legitimate device finishes registration. As a result, provisioning information meant for the legitimate device may be leaked to the attacker. The vulnerability is categorized under CWE-362 (Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization). The CVSS 4.0 vector indicates network attack vector with high complexity, partial user interaction, and limited privileges required. No official remediation or patch information is currently available.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation can lead to disclosure of provisioning information intended for legitimate devices, potentially compromising device configuration or network security. The impact is rated medium severity with a CVSS score of 5.8, reflecting partial confidentiality impact and limited integrity and availability impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. No official fix or workaround has been published at this time. Organizations should monitor TP-Link's advisories for updates and apply any future patches promptly.
