AI-suggested
A patch is available and fixed versions include Linux kernel releases 5.15.0-1078.81~20.04.1 and later within the 5.15.0 series as listed. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates from their distribution vendors to remediate this issue. After updating, a system reboot is required to apply the fix. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the patch.
Description
CVE-2025-22025 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NFS server daemon (nfsd) where a reference count leak occurs if queuing a delegation recall callback fails. This leads to a memory leak of nfs4_stid objects. The issue is fixed by ensuring the reference count is decremented when queuing fails.
