Description
CVE-2025-22027 is a race condition vulnerability in the Linux kernel's streamzap media driver. The flaw occurs due to an incorrect order of operations in the streamzap_disconnect() function, where device unregistration happens before USB request cancellation, leading to potential use-after-free conditions. This can cause a NULL pointer dereference and crash the kernel. The issue has been fixed in several Linux kernel versions starting from 5.15.0-1080.83~20.04.1 and related releases.
